In 1998, Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil, began the renewal ministry and Fr. Soji Olickal, Fr. Reni Pullukalayil and Fr. Binoy Karimaruthinkal joined to serve this ministry over the course of time. Through their ministry, thousands of missionaries became active in this mission all over the world. By 2014, all missionaries were united in one coordination by the name of Anointing Fire Catholic Ministry. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil is the Founder and the Director of AFCM, while Fr. Soji, Fr. Reni and Fr. Binoy are co- founders.
His Excellency, Most Rev. Jacob Manathodath, the Bishop of Palghat Diocese is the patron of AFCM.

Anointing Fire Catholic Ministries (AFCM) is a missionary movement of Preachers of Divine Mercy (PDM) and Abhishekagni Sisters of Jesus and Mary (ASJM). AFCM, PDM and ASJM moves together with one heart, mind and spirit for the salvation of souls. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Anointing Fire Catholic Ministry (AFCM) is a catholic charismatic missionary movement founded by rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil for the world evangelization. He is a member of the Diocese of Palghat in India and the founder and director of anointing fire catholic ministries for world evangelization.
AFCM, a Charismatic Evangelization Preaching Community of Priests, Religious and Lay Ministers, work for the renewal of priests, nuns and lay people across the world. AFCM spreads the Gospel by serving as a torchbearer to millions through various social media outlets and languages brought about through the inspirations of the Holy Spirit, glorifying God in all and through all. It has thousands of missionaries working for the glory of God including priests, nuns and lay people from different continents who work for the greater glory of God.
